Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging, high-quality RE lessons across KS3 and KS4
- Encourage critical thinking, discussion, and respect for different beliefs and worldviews
- Assess, monitor, and report on student progress in line with school policies
- Differentiate teaching to meet the needs of all learners
- Contribute to the development of the RE curriculum and departmental resources
- Create a safe, inclusive, and respectful classroom environment
- Promote SMSC (Spiritual, Moral, Social and Cultural) development across the curriculum
- Participate in whole-school activities, assemblies, and enrichment opportunities
- Uphold safeguarding responsibilities and promote student wellbeing
Person Specification
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
- Degree in Religious Education, Theology, Philosophy, or a related subject
- Strong subject knowledge and enthusiasm for RE
- Ability to engage and inspire students of all abilities
- Excellent communication and classroom management skills
- Commitment to inclusive education and high standards of teaching and learning
