SEN Schools in Ashford are seeking a Residential Support Worker to join their residential provision supporting young people with additional needs. This is an excellent temp-to-perm opportunity for candidates looking for long-term, stable employment in a supportive and rewarding environment.
The Role: You will support young people in a residential care setting, ensuring their cultural, communication, and personal needs are met in line with individual care plans. The role requires commitment, resilience, and a genuine passion for working with children and young people with SEN.
Essential Requirements:
- Experience working in a residential or care home setting
- Ability to meet the cultural, communication, and personal needs of young people
- Full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle (essential due to shift times and location)
- Commitment to a permanent position (job share not available)
- Willingness to complete sleep-in shifts on a rota basis
Who We’re Looking For:
- A caring, patient, and flexible approach with a genuine passion for inclusive education
- Comfortable providing personal care, including toileting and feeding
- Strong communication skills and a proactive attitude
- Willingness to undergo all necessary background checks, including an Enhanced DBS (child workforce ONLY) on the update service - support provided. A new DBS costs 62 and we will pay you back the 62 once you have completed 20 days of work for us
- Full legal right to work in the UK
