Art / DT Technician | Full-Time | Southwark
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Art / DT Technician to join a welcoming and inspiring school in Southwark on a full-time, 5-day-per-week basis.
We are looking for a skilled and knowledgeable technician with previous experience in a school, college, or similar educational setting, together with strong practical knowledge across Art and/or Design & Technology.
A relevant degree is preferred, alongside a genuine passion for supporting creative learning.

Key Responsibilities
Prepare, organise and maintain Art and DT classrooms, workshops, tools and equipment.
Provide practical technical support to teachers and students across lessons and projects.
Assist with the preparation of materials and resources for practical work.
Ensure equipment and working areas are maintained to a high standard.
Support safe working practices and ensure relevant health and safety procedures are followed.
Manage stock, materials and equipment effectively.
Contribute to an engaging, creative and well-organised learning environment.
The ideal candidate will have
Previous experience working as an Art, DT or Creative Arts Technician.
Strong practical and technical knowledge within Art and/or Design & Technology.
Excellent organisational and practical skills.
A proactive, reliable and collaborative approach.
A relevant degree or qualification is preferred.
A genuine interest in supporting students within a creative educational environment.
