Tradewind Recruitment are proud to be working in partnership with a large and successful academy in Doncaster to recruit a dedicated and enthusiastic Teacher of Science for a full-time position starting after May half term until the end of the summer term. This is an excellent opportunity to join a supportive and forward-thinking secondary academy with strong leadership and a commitment to high standards of teaching and learning.
The Role
The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging and effective Science lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4. The school welcomes applications from teachers specialising in Biology, Chemistry, or Physics.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver high-quality Science lessons in line with the national curriculum
- Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes student progress and engagement
- Assess, monitor, and report on pupil achievement and development
- Differentiating lessons to meet the needs of all learners
- Maintain strong classroom behaviour management in line with school policies
- Work collaboratively with the Science department and wider school staff
- Contribute to the wider life of the academy where appropriate
Requirements
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification
- Experience teaching Science within a UK secondary school setting
- Strong subject knowledge across the Science curriculum
- Excellent classroom management and communication skills
- A passion for inspiring young people and supporting student achievement
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to apply for one
- Right to work in the UK
