Tradewind Recruitment is proud to be working with a range of alternative provisions across Sheffield, and we are currently recruiting for a resilient and compassionate Teaching Assistant to support students with additional needs on a flexible basis. This role is ideal for individuals who are passionate about making a difference in the lives of young people who may face barriers to mainstream education.
The Role
- Support students with social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) needs
- Work closely with teaching staff to deliver tailored learning activities
- Build positive, trusting relationships with students
- Help manage behaviour in a calm and consistent manner
- Provide one-to-one or small group support where required

- Experience working with children or young people, ideally in an alternative provision or SEN setting
- A patient, empathetic, and proactive approach
