This is an exciting opportunity for an individual who is committed to developing the next generation of agricultural professionals and contributing to a high-quality vocational learning environment.

The successful candidate will join a dedicated land-based studies department delivering engaging and industry-relevant teaching across a range of agriculture programmes. Courses may include Level 1-3 Agriculture, Countryside Management, or related land-based qualifications, depending on experience. You will play a key role in supporting learners to develop both practical skills and theoretical knowledge aligned with current industry standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality lessons in agriculture and related subjects
  • Assess student work accurately and provide constructive feedback
  • Support learners\’ academic progress, employability skills, and personal development
  • Contribute to curriculum development and continuous improvement
  • Maintain a safe, inclusive, and motivating learning environment
  • Engage with employers and industry partners where appropriate
  • Participate in departmental meetings, CPD, and college activities

The Ideal Candidate Will Have

  • A relevant qualification in Agriculture or a closely related subject
  • Teaching qualification (PGCE, Cert Ed, or willingness to work towards one)
  • Experience working within agriculture or a land-based industry
  • A passion for vocational education and learner success
  • Strong organisational and communication skills
  • Experience teaching in FE is desirable but not essential
