Are you an experienced and committed Teaching Assistant looking for your next opportunity in a supportive secondary school? We are currently recruiting for a Teaching Assistant to join a secondary school in Ealing, starting upon successful clearance and continuing until the end of the current term. This is a full-time position, Monday to Friday, offering an excellent opportunity to gain further experience within a secondary school environment.
The Role
- Provide day-to-day support to students and teachers, helping pupils remain engaged, focused and confident in their learning.
- Support students with their learning across the curriculum.
- Work alongside teachers to help students access lessons effectively.
- Provide individual and small-group support where required.
- Encourage positive behaviour and engagement in the classroom.
- Help students develop confidence, independence and learning skills.
- Support pupils who may require additional academic or pastoral assistance.
- Assist with classroom activities and maintain a positive learning environment.
- Follow school policies and safeguarding procedures at all times.
What We Are Looking For
- Previous experience working with children or young people, ideally within a school setting.
- Experience supporting students at secondary level is highly desirable.
- A confident, positive and patient approach.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- The ability to work effectively as part of a school team.
- A genuine interest in supporting students to achieve their potential.
- A professional approach to safeguarding and student welfare.
- The ability to commit to 5 days per week.
