Are you a qualified Psychology teacher looking for an exciting new opportunity in Manchester?
Tradewind Recruitment is delighted to be supporting a large, Ofsted Outstanding sixth form college in central Manchester in their search for an exceptional A Level Psychology Teacher to join their thriving department. This is a full-time maternity cover role, starting January 2026, running for twelve months.

The Role

  • Position: Teacher of A Level Psychology (AQA exam board)
  • Schedule: Monday to Friday, 9:00am - 4:00pm
  • Contract: Temporary (12 months, maternity cover)
  • Start Date: January 2026
    We are looking for a knowledgeable and enthusiastic Psychology specialist with a strong grasp of the AQA specification. You will be teaching bright and motivated students aged 16-19 and will have the freedom to deliver engaging, thought-provoking lessons tailored to the needs of each learner. The ideal candidate will bring creativity, adaptability, and a genuine passion for Psychology to the classroom, inspiring the next generation of social scientists. Applications are welcomed from early career teachers (ECTs), experienced QTS teachers, or FE lecturers with A Level Psychology teaching experience.

Requirements

  • Hold QTS, QTLS, or a relevant FE teaching qualification (such as PGCE14+ or PGCEFE)
  • Provide a CV detailing full education and employment history, explaining any gaps
  • Hold or be willing to apply for an Enhanced DBS Disclosure and provide professional references
  • Have the legal right to work in the UK with no restrictions
