Position: Teaching Assistant – Primary Schools

Location: Yatton, Nailsea and Backwell, North Somerset

Start Date: September 2025

Contract: Full-time, Part time, term-time only

Salary: Competitive, based on experience ( 90 – 110 a day)
Key Responsibilities
- Supporting children in their learning, both inside and outside the classroom
- Assisting teachers with lesson preparation, classroom organisation, and pupil engagement
- Providing 1:1 and small group support, including for pupils with special educational needs (SEN)
- Helping to create a safe, inclusive, and positive learning environment
- Encouraging children\’s social and emotional development through play and structured activities
Ideal Candidates Will Have
- A genuine interest in working with children and supporting their learning
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Patience, creativity, and a nurturing approach
- Previous experience in a school or childcare setting (desirable but not essential)
- A valid DBS check or willingness to obtain one
