Tradewind are currently looking for a 1:1 Teaching Assistant to support a pupil with Profound Disabilities and Learning Needs. You will be supporting the pupil throughout their learning, development and school life. As a 1:1 Teaching Assistant you will work closely with the pupil, the class teacher and family to help support the pupil both inside and outside of school. You will provide tailored support, build a positive relationship and promote the pupil's well-being.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the pupil throughout the school (School Drop Off, Lessons, Outdoor Play and Meals)
- Deliver aspects of the pupil's EHCP
- Work alongside Teachers to develop strategies that support learning and inclusion
- Promote positive resources
- Liaise with family to help tailor support
Requirements
- Experience working with children in a Primary Setting
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to build relationships and act as a positive support network to pupil and family
- Empathy and patience where required
- Experience with promoting child development and support
