Tradewind Education is currently recruiting a 1:1 Teaching Assistant to work on a full-time, long-term basis in a mainstream primary school in Warrington (WA5). This role involves providing dedicated 1:1 support to a Reception pupil with SEN and additional behavioural needs.
The successful Teaching Assistant will support a pupil who can display challenging behaviour and requires consistent, patient and nurturing support. With the right approach, this pupil responds well and is able to engage positively with learning. Experience in emotional regulation, behaviour management, and adapting the Early Years curriculum is essential.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant looking for a stable, full-time role until the summer holidays within a supportive primary school environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Providing 1:1 support to a Reception pupil with SEN and behavioural needs
Supporting emotional regulation and positive behaviour strategies
Adapting learning activities to ensure the curriculum is accessible and engaging
Working closely with the class teacher and SENCO
Creating a safe, structured and nurturing learning environment
Essential Requirements:
Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant or SEN Teaching Assistant
Proven experience supporting pupils with SEN, additional needs or challenging behaviour
A valid Enhanced DBS on the Child Workforce (or willingness to apply)
Ability to provide professional xiskglj references
Legal right to work in the UK
