We are recruiting a resilient, structured, and active individual to work as a 1:1 Alternative Provision (AP) Instructor in Blackpool. This unique role is designed specifically for ex-military personnel, veterans, or outdoor instructors who want to mentor vulnerable youth who have been excluded from or struggled in mainstream school environments. You do not need a teaching qualification to apply. We prioritise leadership, emotional intelligence, discipline, and life experience over formal teaching degrees.
The Role: Unlike a standard classroom role, you will be teaching strictly on a 1:1 basis with an individual secondary-aged student. You are never isolated - you will work alongside an experienced Teaching Assistant (TA) to provide a safe, structured, and engaging learning dynamic. Your day will actively bridge the gap between structured classroom tutoring and active, outdoor education across Blackpool and the wider Lancashire.
