Learning Support Assistant (LSA) in Worksop

Learning Support Assistant - Secondary SchoolTradewind Education are currently recruiting for a Learning Support Assistant to join a welcoming and supportive secondary school in Worksop.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is passionate about education and enjoys supporting young people to overcome barriers to learning. You will work closely with teaching staff and pupils to help create a positive, inclusive and engaging learning environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide one-to-one and small-group support to students who require additional assistance.
• Support pupils with their learning and help them to access the curriculum.
• Encourage students to develop confidence, independence and positive attitudes towards learning.
• Provide additional support to pupils who may have SEND or other barriers to learning.
• Assist with classroom activities and preparation of learning resources.
• Monitor student's progress and provide feedback to teaching staff where appropriate.

Job Requirements

• Previous experience working with children or young people, ideally within an educational setting.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• The ability to build trusting and professional relationships with young people.
• Good organisational skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• The confidence to support students with a range of abilities and needs.
• A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
• The ability to follow school policies and maintain professional boundaries.
