The Opportunity
We are keen to hear from RE Teachers interested in future supply assignments across Weston-super-Mare. You could be delivering lessons covering a range of religious and non-religious worldviews, ethics, philosophy and contemporary issues, helping pupils develop their understanding and critical-thinking skills. As this is a speculative advert, opportunities will depend on school demand and are not guaranteed immediately.
Your Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging RE lessons across KS3 and KS4
- Cover topics including world religions, ethics, philosophy and beliefs
- Follow school schemes of work and curriculum expectations
- Support GCSE Religious Studies classes where required
- Maintain effective behaviour management and classroom routines
- Assess pupil progress and provide constructive feedback where required
- Create an inclusive environment that encourages discussion and independent thought
