Tradewind Recruitment are currently recruiting an enthusiastic, creative and dedicated Music Teacher to work within a secondary school in the Wellingborough area. We are looking for a teacher who has a genuine passion for Music and can inspire students to develop their creativity, confidence and musical abilities. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Music Teacher or an Early Career Teacher (ECT) looking to develop their teaching experience within a supportive secondary school environment.

The Role

• Planning and delivering engaging Music lessons across KS3 and KS4.
• Teaching a range of musical skills, including performance, composition, listening and music theory.
• Introducing students to different musical genres, instruments and styles.
• Preparing students for GCSE Music examinations where required.
• Delivering practical and creative activities that encourage student participation.
• Supporting students in developing their confidence through musical performance and composition.
• Adapting teaching methods to meet the needs of students with different abilities and learning styles.
• Assessing student progress and providing constructive feedback.
• Creating a positive, inclusive and engaging classroom environment.
• Managing classroom behaviour effectively in line with school policies.
• Working collaboratively with colleagues within the Music department.
• Encouraging students to develop an appreciation for Music and creative expression.

What Are We Looking For?

We would love to hear from candidates who:

• Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
• Have experience teaching Music within a secondary school environment, including relevant teaching placements.
• Have strong subject knowledge across practical and theoretical Music.
• Are confident delivering Music lessons across KS3 and KS4.
• Have experience or knowledge of GCSE Music requirements.
• Can create engaging, practical and creative learning opportunities.
• Have strong classroom and behaviour management skills.
• Are enthusiastic, adaptable and committed to supporting student progress.
• Have excellent communication and organisational skills.
• Are passionate about encouraging young people to develop their musical abilities.
