The Role
As an Art & Design Teacher, you will be responsible for planning and delivering high quality lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, fostering creativity and helping students to explore a range of artistic techniques, materials, and styles.
Responsibilities
- Planning and delivering engaging Art & Design lessons.
- Assessing, monitoring, and tracking student progress.
- Encouraging creativity, experimentation, and independent thinking.
- Creating a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
- Supporting students in developing practical and theoretical artistic skills.
- Contributing to the wider life of the school and department.
Requirements
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- Experience teaching Art & Design in a secondary school setting.
- Strong classroom and behaviour management skills.
- Excellent communication and organisational abilities.
- A passion for creativity and education.
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one.
