Are you caring, patient and passionate about supporting children with complex additional needs? Tradewind Recruitment is looking for enthusiastic and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistants to join a specialist school in Warrington, supporting pupils with a range of complex learning, communication and physical needs. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who wants to make a genuine difference to children's lives while gaining valuable experience in a specialist educational setting. We welcome applications from experienced SEN Teaching Assistants, as well as candidates with backgrounds in complex care, support work, residential care, healthcare or nursing. Previous school experience is beneficial but not essential if you have relevant transferable skills.
The Role
- Provide 1:1 and small-group support to pupils with complex additional needs.
- Support children's learning, communication, sensory development and independence.
- Assist with personal care and physical support where required.
- Help pupils follow individual learning activities and daily routines.
- Work closely with teachers and support staff to provide consistent, personalised care.
- Maintain a safe, positive and nurturing learning environment.
The Ideal Candidate
- Has experience supporting people with additional needs, disabilities or complex care requirements.
- Is patient, empathetic, reliable and adaptable.
- Is comfortable supporting personal care where required.
- Can communicate effectively and build positive relationships.
- Is committed to safeguarding and helping every child reach their potential.
