Tradewind Recruitment is recruiting an experienced Level 3 Teaching Assistant in Warrington to work full-time within a Key Stage 1 classroom at a primary school in the WA5 area. The school is looking for a confident and proactive Teaching Assistant with strong SEN experience and behaviour management skills, due to the additional needs and behaviours of children within the classroom.
As a Level 3 Teaching Assistant in Warrington, you'll work closely with the class teacher to support learning, manage behaviour and help create a positive classroom environment. You'll also be required to provide PPA cover, so confidence leading classroom activities is essential.
Key responsibilities
- Supporting teaching and learning across KS1
- Providing SEN support to pupils with additional needs
- Managing challenging behaviour using positive strategies
- Delivering small-group and individual interventions
- Providing PPA cover and leading classroom activities
- Working closely with the class teacher and SENCO
What we're looking for
- Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification
- Previous experience supporting pupils with SEN
- Strong behaviour management and de-escalation skills
- Confidence providing PPA cover
- Experience working within KS1 or primary education
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply
