Catering Assistant - Warrington WA5. Tradewind Recruitment are recruiting on behalf of a welcoming school in Warrington (WA5) for a Catering Assistant to join their team on an immediate start basis.

Hours: 11:15am - 2:15pm
Start: Immediate
The Role
As a Catering Assistant, you will support the school kitchen team with the day-to-day preparation and service of meals, helping to ensure a clean, safe and welcoming environment for pupils and staff.
Key Responsibilities
- Assisting with the preparation and serving of meals and refreshments
- Supporting the kitchen team with general food preparation
- Setting up and clearing dining areas
- Washing up and maintaining a clean and hygienic kitchen environment
- Following food hygiene, health & safety procedures
- Supporting with stock rotation and kitchen organisation
- Providing a friendly and professional service to pupils and staff
- Working effectively as part of a busy catering team
The Ideal Candidate
- Previous experience in a catering, hospitality, kitchen or similar role
- A good understanding of food hygiene and health & safety - Level 2 preferred
- A positive and reliable attitude
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- The ability to work efficiently in a busy environment
- A friendly and approachable manner when working with pupils and staff
- A valid DBS on the Update Service, or be willing to apply for one through Tradewind Recruitment
- School or education-based catering experience is desirable but not essential
