The role
As a Teaching Assistant working through Tradewind, you could be supporting pupils and teachers across a variety of primary settings. Responsibilities may include:
- Supporting teaching and learning across EYFS, KS1 and KS2
- Working with individuals, small groups and whole classes
- Supporting pupils with their learning, development and well being
- Helping to create a positive, inclusive classroom environment
- Assisting teachers with classroom activities and preparation
- Supporting pupils with additional needs where appropriate
- Building positive relationships with pupils and school staff
- Adapting to different schools, year groups and classroom environments
We're looking for
- A recognised Teaching Assistant qualification
- Previous experience working within a primary school setting
- The ability to support across EYFS to Key Stage 2
- A professional, positive and reliable approach
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- The ability to quickly build positive relationships with pupils and staff
- A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
- Flexibility and a willingness to work in different school environments
