• The ability to model accurate spoken and written Spanish.

• The confidence to prepare pupils for relevant GCSE assessments and other curriculum requirements.
• Effective classroom management and the ability to adapt lessons for different learning needs.

• Deliver well-planned Spanish lessons across the relevant secondary year groups.
• Develop pupils' confidence through structured speaking activities and purposeful practice.
• Teach grammar, vocabulary, comprehension and written expression.
• Use assessment to identify gaps and guide subsequent teaching.
• Introduce relevant cultural contexts to support pupils' understanding of Spanish-speaking communities.
• Maintain high expectations for behaviour, participation and progress.
