Tradewind Education are currently recruiting for an enthusiastic and dedicated Teacher of English to join a welcoming secondary school in Sheffield, starting ASAP.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging, high-quality English lessons in line with the school's curriculum.
- Assess, monitor and track student progress, providing constructive feedback.
- Create a positive, inclusive and stimulating classroom environment.
- Promote high standards of literacy, communication and written and spoken English.
- Manage classroom behaviour effectively in line with school policies.
- Maintain accurate records of assessment and student progress.
- Attend departmental and school meetings where required.
- Follow school safeguarding, behaviour and health and safety procedures.
Job Requirements
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
- Experience teaching English within a secondary school setting.
- Strong subject knowledge across English Language and Literature.
- The ability to plan and deliver engaging, well-structured lessons.
- Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
- A commitment to raising student achievement and expectations.
