The Role
- Planning and delivering engaging, differentiated lessons tailored to individual needs.
- Supporting pupils with complex and high-level SEND, including autism.
- Creating a calm, structured and inclusive learning environment.
- Building positive relationships and understanding each pupil's individual needs.
- Supporting communication, emotional regulation and behaviour where required.
- Monitoring progress and adapting teaching strategies accordingly.
- Supporting pupils' academic, social and personal development.
- Following EHCP outcomes, individual education plans and school policies.
Experience within a specialist SEN school, autism provision, Alternative Provision or a setting supporting pupils with complex needs would be highly desirable.
Pay
The role is advertised at £160-£240 per day, depending on experience. Candidates with substantial experience of working with high-needs or complex SEND may be considered towards the higher end of the scale. The final rate will depend on experience, suitability and the school's available budget.
