Tradewind Recruitment is looking for a dedicated Humanities Teacher who'd be interested in working an SEMH school in Willenhall.
About the Role
As an SEMH English Teacher, you will:
- Support students with SEMH, both in and out of the classroom
- Implement behaviour management strategies and de-escalation techniques
- Work 1:1 or with small groups to help pupils re-engage with learning
- Build trusting, professional relationships that promote positive behaviour
- Create a safe, structured and inclusive learning environment
- Contribute to behaviour plans and pastoral support programmes
- Access to a Vehicle.
- Be able to deliver Humanities to functional skills level 1/2 and to GCSE.
What We're Looking For
- Experience working with young people with SEMH (school, alternative provisions, youth work, mentoring or similar)
- Strong communication, resilience and emotional intelligence
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and use positive behaviour strategies
- A genuine commitment to helping pupils overcome barriers to learning
- Team-working skills and a proactive approach
