Tradewind Recruitment are currently recruiting for a Teacher of RE and English to join a secondary school in Sefton, starting after the October half-term break. This is a full-time temporary position running until Christmas, providing an excellent opportunity for an experienced teacher or a confident ECT looking for a short-term role.
The school is looking for a committed and enthusiastic teacher who can deliver engaging lessons across Religious Education and English, supporting pupils to make good progress and develop their knowledge and skills.
The Role
- Teaching RE and English across the secondary age range.
- Planning and delivering engaging, well-structured lessons.
- Supporting pupils with different abilities and learning needs.
- Maintaining high expectations of behaviour and achievement.
- Assessing pupil progress and providing appropriate feedback.
- Working collaboratively with the wider teaching team.
- Contributing positively to the school's wider ethos and environment.
The Ideal Candidate
- QTS or equivalent teaching qualification.
- Strong subject knowledge in RE and English.
- Experience teaching within a secondary school.
- The ability to plan and deliver engaging lessons across both subjects.
- Excellent classroom management skills.
- A commitment to supporting pupils' progress and achievement.
- An Enhanced Child Workforce DBS on the Update Service, or be willing to apply for one through Tradewind Recruitment.
