Pastoral & Behaviour Teaching Assistant - Secondary SchoolsLocations: Bolton & SalfordSalary: Competitive daily rate, dependent on experienceContract: Temporary / Long-term / Permanent opportunitiesWe are currently recruiting Pastoral and Behaviour Teaching Assistants to support secondary schools across Bolton and Salford.
The Role:
- Providing targeted support to pupils who may be struggling with behaviour, attendance or engagement.
- Working with pupils on a one-to-one and small-group basis.
- Supporting students within lessons and around the school.
- Building positive relationships and acting as a trusted member of the pastoral team.
- Helping pupils overcome barriers to learning.
- Supporting behaviour management and restorative approaches.
- Working closely with pastoral leaders, SENCOs and teaching staff.
- Encouraging pupils to develop confidence, resilience and independence.
The Ideal Candidate:
- Experience working with young people in an education, youth work, care, sports or similar environment.
- Strong interpersonal and behaviour management skills.
- Calm, patient and consistent in their approach.
- Confident working with pupils who may display challenging behaviour.
- Able to build positive relationships while maintaining professional boundaries.
- Passionate about improving outcomes for young people.
