Premises Officer / Caretaker - Full-TimeLocation: Greenwich, London | 5 Days per WeekA fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced Premises Officer / Caretaker to join a welcoming and well-maintained school in Greenwich.We are looking for a reliable, proactive professional with previous premises/caretaking experience and strong knowledge of school or facilities management. Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the day-to-day maintenance, safety and security of the school premises
- Carry out general repairs, maintenance and basic DIY
- Complete regular site inspections and ensure facilities are safe and well maintained
- Liaise with contractors and oversee external works
- Manage opening, closing and security procedures
- Support compliance with health and safety requirements
- Maintain a clean, safe and welcoming environment for pupils, staff and visitors
- Respond promptly to maintenance issues and emergencies
- Assist with general site and facilities management duties as required
The Ideal Candidate:
- Previous experience in a Premises Officer, Caretaker, Site Manager or similar role
- Strong practical knowledge of building maintenance and site management
- Reliable, organised and proactive with excellent attention to detail
- Able to work independently and manage competing priorities
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Experience within a school or educational setting is desirable
- Relevant degree or qualification preferred
