PPA Teacher - PRU Bedfordshire Immediate Start

Tradewind Recruitment is working with a Pupil Referral Unit (PRU) in Bedfordshire that is looking for a dedicated and resilient PPA Teacher to join their team from November.
This is a rewarding opportunity for a teacher who is passionate about supporting pupils who face barriers to mainstream education. Working with children and young people with behavioural needs, you'll play a vital role in maintaining continuity in their education, building positive relationships and helping them re-engage with learning.
What you'll be doing:
- Delivering engaging and adaptable lessons across a range of subjects and year groups to cover teachers' PPA time
- Supporting pupils with social, emotional and behavioural needs in a specialist educational setting
- Establishing clear expectations and promoting positive behaviour through consistent classroom management
- Adapting teaching approaches to meet individual learning needs and abilities
- Creating a structured, safe and supportive learning environment where pupils feel valued and encouraged
- Working collaboratively with the wider school team to support pupils' academic progress and personal development
We're looking for someone who:
- Has previous experience working in a school or PRU, with experience supporting children with behavioural needs being essential
- Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Is confident managing challenging behaviour and maintaining clear, consistent boundaries
- Is patient, resilient and able to build positive relationships with pupils who may have had difficult experiences of education
- Can adapt their teaching style to engage pupils with diverse learning needs
- Works well as part of a team while using their own initiative
