Part-Time KS2 Teaching Assistant

Location: Bamber Bridge, Lancashire

Hours: Mornings Only (Monday to Friday)

Start Date: November 2026 (Immediately following October Half Term)

About the Role

Tradewind Recruitment is currently seeking an enthusiastic and experienced KS2 Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary school community in Bamber Bridge. This position is for mornings only, running Monday through Friday, starting right after the October Half Term break.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality academic support to pupils in Years 4 to 6.
• Lead small-group and 1:1 intervention sessions in Reading, Writing, and Maths.
• Assist classroom teachers with lesson preparation and classroom management.
• Support pupils with diverse learning needs, keeping them engaged and motivated during morning lessons.

Requirements

• Essential: Proven experience working within KS2 (specifically Years 4-6) in a UK primary school setting.
• Relevant Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent experience).
• Strong understanding of the KS2 curriculum, particularly upper KS2 expectations.
• Enhanced DBS check on the Update Service (or willingness to apply for one).
• Reliable, professional, and passionate about children's education.
