We are recruiting enthusiastic and articulate graduates for flexible day-to-day supply work as Cover Supervisors in secondary schools across Oldham.
The Role
- Take the lead in the absence of the teacher
- Deliver pre-planned lessons and provided resources
- Manage behaviour and maintain a positive learning environment
- Encourage independent learning and pupil participation
- Support pupils with their learning and pastoral needs
- Provide a clear handover to the class teacher
Working hours are typically 8.20am to 3.20pm, Monday to Friday, with flexible ad hoc opportunities available.
Experience in schools, sports coaching, youth work, drama, clubs or working with children and young people- especially MAHDLO is highly valued.
Who We're Looking For
This role is ideal for graduates considering a career in teaching.
You will need:
- A Bachelor's degree or equivalent
- At least six weeks' experience working with groups of children or teenagers within the last three years
- A referee who can provide a detailed reference for this experience
- The legal right to work in the UK
- An Enhanced DBS check and relevant references
- The ability to travel to schools in Oldham with 30 minutes notice to arrive by 8.15am
