This is an excellent opportunity for a candidate with experience in pastoral care, SEN, SEMH, or emotional wellbeing support who can combine nurturing pastoral support with helping a child engage successfully with their learning.

The child has experienced significant challenges and requires a consistent, trusted adult who can provide emotional support, encouragement and appropriate learning support throughout the school day.

  • Supporting confidence, resilience and positive relationships.
  • Identifying barriers to learning and implementing appropriate strategies.
  • Working closely with the class teacher and wider pastoral/SEN team.
  • Encouraging independence and positive engagement with school.

The Ideal Candidate

The successful candidate will ideally have experience in:

  • Pastoral support or mentoring.
  • SEN or learning support.

  • Building strong relationships with children who may have experienced difficult circumstances.
  • Providing structured brain breaks and regulation strategies.
