This is an exciting opportunity to become part of a supportive Modern Foreign Languages department committed to delivering engaging and high-quality lessons.
The Role
As a Teacher of French, you will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging lessons that help students develop their confidence and communication skills in a foreign language.You will teach French across Key Stages 3 and 4, encouraging students to develop a passion for languages while achieving their academic potential.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Planning and delivering engaging French lessons
- Assessing, monitoring and supporting student progress
- Creating a positive and inclusive learning environment
- Encouraging confidence in speaking, listening, reading and writing French
- Differentiating lessons to meet the needs of all learners
- Maintaining high expectations of behaviour and achievement
- Contributing to the wider life of the school and MFL department
The Ideal Candidate
- Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification
- Has experience teaching French within a secondary school setting
- Has strong subject knowledge and a passion for languages
- Can deliver creative and engaging lessons
- Has excellent classroom management skills
- Is committed to helping students achieve their full potential
- Has a positive, enthusiastic and proactive approach to teaching
