Primary Intervention Teaching Assistant - Nottingham

Are you an experienced Teaching Assistant confident delivering targeted interventions to help pupils close gaps in their learning?

Tradewind Recruitment are currently seeking Primary Intervention Teaching Assistants to work across schools in Nottingham and the surrounding areas.

These roles will involve working with individual pupils and small groups across areas including phonics, reading, writing and mathematics, supporting children who require additional reinforcement or catch-up support.

We are looking for full-time and part-time candidates, with short-term and long-term opportunities available.

Responsibilities

• Delivering targeted phonics, reading, writing and mathematics interventions
• Working with individual pupils and small groups
• Supporting pupils who require additional catch-up or reinforcement
• Developing reading fluency, vocabulary and comprehension
• Supporting spelling, handwriting and written communication
• Developing mathematical fluency, number knowledge and confidence
• Monitoring pupil progress and feeding back to class teachers
• Adapting activities to meet individual learning needs

Requirements

• Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant within a primary school
• Experience delivering academic interventions is highly desirable
• Knowledge of phonics and early reading programmes is advantageous
• A Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification is desirable, although relevant experience will also be considered
• Strong communication and organisational skills
• A patient, encouraging and proactive approach
• Enhanced DBS Disclosure, Overseas Police Clearances where applicable and suitable professional references
• Comprehensive employment history covering the previous 10 years where possible
• Right to work in the UK
