Tradewind Recruitment is currently recruiting History Teachers for a variety of opportunities across secondary schools in Cheshire and Merseyside.

We are looking to expand our network of History Teachers following continued demand from our partner schools.

This advertisement is designed to connect with teachers for current and upcoming opportunities, which may include long-term placements, fixed-term contracts, permanent roles and supply teaching.

History Teaching Opportunities

Our partner schools require teachers who can deliver engaging and challenging History lessons across KS3 and KS4, with some opportunities potentially including GCSE examination groups.

You may be responsible for:

  • Planning and delivering high-quality History lessons
  • Teaching across KS3 and KS4
  • Preparing pupils for GCSE examinations
  • Differentiating learning effectively
  • Assessing and monitoring pupil progress
  • Developing pupils' historical knowledge and analytical skills
  • Maintaining high expectations of behaviour
  • Working collaboratively with the wider Humanities department

We're Looking For

  • QTS or equivalent recognised teaching qualification
  • Strong History subject knowledge
  • Secondary school teaching experience
  • KS3 and KS4 teaching experience
  • Strong classroom management
  • Excellent communication skills
  • A commitment to pupil progress
  • The ability to quickly establish positive relationshipsECTs and experienced History Teachers are welcome.
