The Role
- Planning and delivering engaging History lessons across the relevant secondary key stages.
- Teaching historical events, themes and interpretations in line with the curriculum.
- Developing students' source analysis, evidence-based writing and critical thinking.
- Assessing progress, providing constructive feedback and adapting teaching to meet different learning needs.
- Maintaining high expectations for behaviour, participation and academic achievement.
- Contributing to departmental planning and working collaboratively with colleagues.
What We're Looking For
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an appropriate recognised teaching qualification.
- Strong subject knowledge and the ability to communicate historical concepts clearly.
- Experience teaching History at secondary level, with familiarity with the relevant curriculum.
- Effective classroom management and a commitment to positive learning environments.
- A professional approach to safeguarding, assessment and student development.
