The Role

• Supervising pupils throughout examinations to ensure exams run smoothly.
• Ensuring examination regulations and procedures are followed at all times.
• Distributing and collecting examination papers and materials.
• Helping prepare examination rooms before each session.
• Reading instructions clearly and ensuring pupils understand the examination rules.
• Monitoring pupils during exams and maintaining a calm, quiet environment.
• Reporting any irregularities or concerns to the relevant member of staff.
• Supporting the school with the smooth running of its examination timetable.

We're Looking For Someone Who

• Is reliable, punctual and professional.
• Has excellent attention to detail.
• Can follow instructions and examination procedures carefully.
• Is confident communicating with secondary-aged pupils.
• Can remain calm, focused and observant for extended periods.
• Has a flexible approach to working hours, particularly during busy examination periods.
• Has previous invigilation or school experience, although this isn't always essential.

When Can You Work?

Schools often require additional invigilators during mock examinations and the busy summer exam season. We'd love to hear from candidates who can offer availability during school hours, including mornings and afternoons. There may also be opportunities for short-notice cover, depending on school requirements.
