The Role
As a School Caretaker, you will help ensure the school site is safe, secure, clean and well maintained. Duties will include:
- Opening and securing the school premises
- Carrying out general maintenance and minor repairs
- Supporting the smooth running of the school site
- Completing routine health and safety checks
- Assisting with deliveries and contractors
- Maintaining outdoor areas and communal spaces
- Reporting any maintenance or security issues
- Responding to day-to-day site requirements
- Ensuring the school provides a safe and welcoming environment for students and staff
The Ideal Candidate
We are looking for someone who is:Reliable, punctual and hardworkingPractical and confident carrying out basic maintenanceAble to work independently and as part of a teamFlexible and willing to work different shiftsFriendly and professional when dealing with staff, students and visitorsExperienced in a caretaker, facilities, maintenance or similar rolePrevious experience working within a school is desirable but not essential.
