The Role
As a Science Teacher, you will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging lessons that encourage curiosity, critical thinking and a strong understanding of scientific concepts.
You will teach Science across Key Stages 3 and 4, with the opportunity to teach your specialism at a higher level depending on experience and school requirements.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Planning and delivering high-quality Science lessons
- Assessing, monitoring and supporting student progress
- Creating a positive and inclusive learning environment
- Encouraging student engagement and achievement
- Supporting students of varying abilities and learning needs
- Contributing to the wider life of the school and department
- Maintaining high expectations of behaviour and attainment
The Ideal Candidate
We are looking for someone who:
- Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification
- Has experience teaching Science within a secondary school setting
- Has strong subject knowledge across Biology, Chemistry and/or Physics
- Can deliver engaging and differentiated lessons
- Has excellent classroom management skills
- Is committed to achieving the best outcomes for students
- Has a positive and proactive approach to teaching
