Tradewind Recruitment are currently recruiting an enthusiastic and dedicated Maths Teacher to work within a secondary school in the Corby area. We are looking for a teacher who has a genuine passion for Mathematics and can inspire students to develop their confidence, problem-solving abilities and understanding of the subject. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Maths Teacher or an Early Career Teacher (ECT) looking to develop their teaching experience within a supportive secondary school environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging and inclusive Maths lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, helping students of all abilities make progress and achieve their potential.
The Role
- Planning and delivering engaging Mathematics lessons across KS3 and KS4.
- Teaching a broad range of mathematical topics, including algebra, geometry, statistics and number.
- Preparing students for GCSE Mathematics examinations.
- Adapting teaching methods to meet the needs of students with different abilities and learning styles.
- Assessing student progress and providing constructive feedback.
- Supporting students who may lack confidence or require additional help with Mathematics.
- Creating a positive, inclusive and productive classroom environment.
- Managing classroom behaviour effectively in line with school policies.
- Encouraging students to develop confidence in problem-solving and mathematical reasoning.
- Working collaboratively with colleagues within the Maths department.
- Contributing to the wider school community and supporting student achievement.
What Are We Looking For?
- Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
- Have experience teaching Mathematics within a secondary school environment.
- Have strong subject knowledge across KS3 and KS4.
- Are confident preparing students for GCSE Mathematics.
- Can plan and deliver engaging lessons that support students of different abilities.
- Have strong classroom and behaviour management skills.
- Are enthusiastic, adaptable and committed to supporting student progress.
- Have excellent communication and organisational skills.
- Are passionate about helping young people develop confidence and succeed in Mathematics.
