Location: Camden
Hours: Full-time, Monday-Friday
Pay: Dependent on experience
We are looking for a confident and proactive HLTA or Teaching Assistant to join a specialist school, supporting students throughout the school day, including within the Hair & Beauty department during afternoon sessions.
The ideal candidate will be strong with behaviour management, confident de‑escalating challenging situations and able to build positive relationships with students, encouraging engagement in both classroom‑based and practical learning.
The Role:
- Providing support to students throughout the school day.
- Supporting practical Hair & Beauty sessions in the afternoons.
- Managing behaviour confidently and consistently.
- Supporting students with additional needs and promoting positive engagement.
- Working alongside teaching staff to maintain a safe, structured learning environment.
- Encouraging students to develop their confidence, independence and practical skills.
The Ideal Candidate:
- Experience working as a TA, HLTA or in a similar educational setting.
- Strong behaviour management and de‑escalation skills.
- Confident supporting students with additional needs and challenging behaviour.
- Patient, resilient and proactive, with a positive approach.
- An interest in Hair & Beauty or vocational learning would be advantageous.
