Tradewind Recruitment is currently seeking a passionate and motivated Year 1 Teacher to join a friendly and supportive primary school in the Farnworth area of Bolton.
This school has a strong reputation for its nurturing approach to education and recognises the importance of providing children with a positive start to their primary school journey.
With a particular focus on early literacy, phonics and numeracy, the school is looking for an enthusiastic teacher who can inspire young learners and help them develop confidence and independence.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Key Stage 1 Teacher or an Early Career Teacher looking to develop their teaching career within a supportive environment.
Your responsibilities will include
- Planning and delivering engaging Year 1 lessons.
- Teaching phonics, early reading, writing and mathematics.
- Creating a stimulating and well-organised classroom.
- Assessing and monitoring pupil progress.
- Differentiating activities to support pupils with different abilities.
- Establishing positive classroom routines and expectations.
- Working closely with Teaching Assistants to maximise learning opportunities.
- Communicating effectively with parents and colleagues.
We're looking for someone who
- Holds QTS.
- Has experience teaching within Key Stage 1, ideally Year 1.
- Has a strong understanding of phonics and early literacy.
- Demonstrates excellent behaviour management.
- Is creative, enthusiastic and nurturing.
- Can build positive relationships with pupils and staff.
