The role may include:
- Leading whole-class learning during planned teacher absence or PPA cover.
- Delivering targeted interventions in literacy and numeracy.
- Supporting pupils across Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2.
- Adapting activities to meet a range of learning and SEND needs.
- Maintaining positive behaviour and a productive classroom environment.
- Working closely with teaching staff to monitor pupil progress.
Requirements:
- HLTA qualification or substantial relevant classroom experience.
- Confidence delivering pre-planned lessons to whole classes.
- Good knowledge of the primary curriculum.
- Strong classroom management and communication skills.
- Flexibility to work across different year groups.
- Previous experience providing PPA cover is particularly desirable.
