Tradewind Recruitment is seeking an enthusiastic, reliable, and caring Before & After School Club Staff Member to join a lovely village primary school close to Loughborough.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys working with children and is looking for consistent part-time hours around other commitments.

The role involves working 7:30am - 8:45am in the morning and then returning to school for the afterschool club from 3:15pm - 6:00pm.

The Role

As a Before & After School Club Staff Member, you'll play an important role in providing a safe, welcoming, and enjoyable environment for children before and after the school day.

• Supervising children during the before-school and after-school sessions.
• Providing a range of fun, engaging and age-appropriate activities.
• Supporting children with play, games, arts and crafts, and outdoor activities.
• Ensuring children are safe, happy, and well cared for at all times.
• Promoting positive behaviour and encouraging children to interact positively with their peers.
• Supporting with snack and refreshment provision during the afterschool club.
• Maintaining a clean, safe and welcoming environment.
• Communicating effectively with school staff and parents/carers where appropriate.
• Following the school's safeguarding and behaviour policies.

The hours for this role are:

• Morning Club: 7:30am - 8:45am
• Afterschool Club: 3:15pm - 6:00pm
• Monday to Friday

We're Looking For

• Experience working with children in any capacity.
• Experience within a school, nursery, childcare, sports, youth work or similar environment is beneficial but not essential.
• A positive, enthusiastic and caring approach.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• The ability to engage children in fun and appropriate activities.
• A responsible and reliable approach to safeguarding and child welfare.
• The ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one.
