Geography Teachers who can inspire students to understand the world around them and develop strong geographical knowledge and enquiry skills.

  • Depending on the individual school and opportunity, you may be responsible for:
  • Planning and delivering engaging

Geography lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4.

  • Preparing students for GCSE Geography examinations where required.
  • Developing students' geographical knowledge, understanding and enquiry skills.
  • Creating stimulating lessons that bring geographical concepts to life.
  • Differentiating teaching to meet the needs of students across a range of abilities.
  • Assessing student progress and providing effective feedback.
  • Maintaining high expectations for behaviour, effort and achievement.
  • Building positive relationships with students and colleagues.
  • Working collaboratively as part of a successful Humanities or Geography department.
  • Contributing positively to the wider life of the school.
  • The Ideal Geography Teacher

We're keen to hear from candidates who have

QTS or recognised equivalent teaching status.

  • Strong subject knowledge in

Geography .

  • Experience teaching Geography within a secondary school setting.
  • The ability to plan and deliver engaging and appropriately challenging lessons.
  • Strong classroom and behaviour management skills.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • A passion for Geography and helping young people understand the world around them.
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting student welfare.
