Primary Tutor - Scarborough Tradewind Recruitment is seeking an enthusiastic and reliable Face-to-Face Primary Tutor to support Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 pupils in the Scarborough area of North Yorkshire. This is a rewarding opportunity to work with learners who need additional support to re-engage with education, rebuild confidence and make progress in core subjects. Many pupils benefit from structured, consistent 1:1 tuition outside mainstream classrooms. Most students receive 8-10 hours of tuition per week. Sessions may take place in schools, alternative provisions, community settings or the learner's home. The Role Deliver personalised 1:1 tuition in English, Maths and wider primary curriculum areas Plan engaging sessions tailored to individual needs Support pupils with SEN, SEMH needs or gaps in education Build positive relationships to improve confidence and engagement Monitor progress and adapt teaching strategies Liaise with schools, local authorities and support teams as required The Ideal Tutor Will: Have experience teaching or tutoring in KS1 or KS2 Be confident delivering English and Maths Demonstrate patience, adaptability and a calm approach Have strong communication and behaviour management skills Hold QTS, QTLS, PGC...
