Secondary SEN Teaching Assistant - Harrow | Full-Time | Monday-Friday | 8:00am-4:00pm | ASAP start
Are you a graduate looking to start a career in education, or an experienced Teaching Assistant seeking your next opportunity? We're looking for a passionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join a secondary school in Harrow on a long-term, full-time basis, with the potential to become permanent.
Experience working with teenagers through tutoring, youth work, mentoring, sports, coaching, volunteering or similar settings would be ideal. This is a great opportunity to develop your education experience and make a genuine difference to young people.
What You'll Do
- Support secondary students in KS3 and KS4 with learning and development
- Provide one-to-one and small-group support
- Help students overcome barriers to learning
- Build positive relationships with students
- Work alongside teachers and support staff
- Encourage confidence, independence and resilience
- Support an inclusive learning environment
What We're Looking For
- Positive, enthusiastic and approachable
- Ideally, educated to degree level and/or experience working with teenagers
- Experience with SEN (such as ADHD, dyslexia, Autism or SEMH) is desirable
- Strong communication skills
- Passionate about supporting young people
- Previous SEN experience is desirable but not essential. Your attitude and ability to connect with young people are what matter most.
