Role Details
Location: Harrow, North West London
Working Pattern: Full-time
Contract Type: Temporary, with the potential for a permanent position, subject to the school's requirements and agreement between the parties
Salary: Main Pay Scale (MPS), subject to qualifications, experience and applicable pay arrangements
Teaching Level: Up to KS5, including A-level Physics
Behaviour: Good student behaviour and a positive learning environment
Parking: On-site parking available, subject to availability
The Role
Plan and deliver engaging Physics lessons across relevant key stages, including GCSE and A-level.
Teach topics such as mechanics, electricity, waves, energy, forces, magnetism and atomic physics.
Develop students' scientific curiosity, analytical thinking, mathematical skills and problem-solving abilities.
Deliver practical experiments and investigations in accordance with laboratory safety procedures.
Prepare students for GCSE and A-level examinations, supporting them in achieving their academic potential.
Monitor student progress, assess learning and adapt teaching strategies to meet individual needs.
Maintain high standards of teaching, learning and classroom management.
Promote independent thinking, scientific discussion and the real-world application of Physics.
Collaborate with colleagues to support student achievement and wellbeing.
