The Role
Plan and deliver engaging Geography lessons that develop students' understanding of the physical and human world.
Teach geographical concepts across relevant key stages, including physical geography, human geography, environmental issues and global development.
Inspire students to develop their geographical knowledge, analytical thinking and enquiry skills.
Encourage students to explore key geographical issues, interpret data, analyse maps and understand the relationship between people and their environments.
Incorporate practical activities, case studies and fieldwork opportunities to enhance students' learning experiences.
Monitor student progress, assess learning and implement strategies to support academic achievement.
Maintain high standards of teaching, learning and classroom management.
Work collaboratively with colleagues to support student achievement and wellbeing.
The Ideal Candidate
Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an appropriate recognised equivalent, where applicable.
Has strong subject knowledge and a genuine passion for Geography.
Demonstrates effective classroom management and inclusive teaching practices.
Can deliver engaging lessons that challenge and motivate students of varying abilities.
