Are you passionate about supporting children with their speech, language and communication development? We are working in partnership with a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Wellingborough that is seeking a dedicated Speech and Language Teaching Assistant to join their team from September 2026.

This full-time, temporary-to-permanent opportunity involves providing targeted support to pupils with speech, language and communication needs, helping them overcome barriers to learning and develop the skills they need to thrive.

About the role:

  • Provide one-to-one and small-group support for pupils with speech, language and communication needs
  • Deliver targeted activities and interventions to develop pupils' communication, listening and language skills
  • Build positive and trusting relationships with pupils, helping to develop their confidence and self-esteem
  • Support children both inside and outside the classroom to access learning and participate fully
