Tradewind Recruitment is working closely with a welcoming and inclusive mainstream primary school in Wellingborough that is seeking a dedicated Class Teacher & SENDCO to join their team as soon as possible.
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced teacher who wants to maintain a strong classroom presence while also taking responsibility for coordinating SEND provision across the school.
The successful candidate will spend 50% of their time teaching and 50% working as the school's SENDCO, providing an excellent balance between classroom practice and SEND leadership.
What You'll Be DoingAs Class Teacher:
- Plan and deliver engaging, inclusive lessons that meet the needs of all pupils.
- Create a positive and supportive classroom environment where children feel confident to learn.
- Assess pupil progress and adapt teaching to support individual learning needs.
- Use effective behaviour management strategies to maintain a purposeful learning environment.
- Work closely with Teaching Assistants and other school staff to maximise pupil progress.
- Communicate effectively with parents and carers regarding pupil learning and development.
- Contribute to wider school activities, planning, assessment, and professional development.
As SENDCO:
- Lead and coordinate SEND provision across the school.
- Identify pupils with additional needs and ensure appropriate support is put in place.
